Dr. Ryan Huang was born in Taiwan and raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, before obtaining his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Touro University Nevada. He then completed his residency training at Valley Hospital Medical Center, where he developed a strong foundation in comprehensive patient care.
As a board-certified family physician, Dr. Huang is deeply committed to patient-centered care. Recognizing the critical need for specialized wound management, he pursued additional training in wound care during residency and has since integrated it into his family medicine practice. He is certified by the American Board of Wound Management as a Certified Wound Specialist Physician (CWSP), a distinction that reflects his expertise in advanced wound healing techniques and his dedication to improving patient outcomes.
Beyond clinical practice, Dr. Huang is passionate about medical education and serves as a teaching faculty member at Touro University Nevada, where he mentors and trains future physicians. His role allows him to instill strong clinical reasoning, hands-on skills, and a patient-centered mindset in medical students, ensuring they develop into well-rounded, compassionate doctors.
Guided by the principles of osteopathic medicine, Dr. Huang believes in treating the whole patient, not just the condition. His approach to wound care and family medicine emphasizes structural health, nutrition, mental well-being, and overall patient comfort. He firmly upholds the osteopathic philosophy that “the body is a unit, and the person represents a combination of body, mind, and spirit.” By integrating this holistic approach into his practice, he ensures that each patient receives personalized, compassionate, and effective care that promotes long-term healing and overall wellness.
