Christine Espenilla
Christine Espenilla was born and raised in the Philippines. She has earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree there and polished her nursing skills in the Intensive Care Unit before she moved to the US in September 2013.
After obtaining her US RN license, she has worked as a case manager and started her wound care exposure in the home health setting. Christine ventured to the acute rehabilitation hospital to further her knowledge and skills in providing safe and efficient patient care. Within six months of working, she has joined the wound care team in 2017 and achieved her Certified Rehabilitation RN certification in 2018.
She sought additional training and decided to pursue her degree in Master of Science in Nursing in 2018. Her passion for wound care runs deep as she assumed the role of Wound Care Coordinator in 2019 to provide better wound management to patients and has lead the wound care team to successfully have the acute rehabilitation hospital be Wound Care Certified by The Joint Commission in 2021.
NP Christine has also been awarded Employee of the 3rd Quarter 2020 and Employee of the Year 2020 as she was instrumental in conducting exposure tracing, reporting to CDC, and working 60hrs/week caring for COVID-19 patients in addition to her normal wound care departmental duties.
Christine is thrilled and determined to join the Professional Wound Specialists team to render comprehensive, quality care and make a positive contribution to the patients and the organization.

Professional Wound Specialists (PWS) provides high quality evidence based medical care to our patients. We provide wound care treatments in hospitals, surgical centers, rehabilitation facilities, long term acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and home health services. We provide wound care doctors at home, which allows convenience for homebound patients who need high quality service. PWS serves in the greater area of California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.
