Relyndo Salcedo
DNP RELYNDO SALCEDO , grew up in Manila PHilippines. He started his career in the healthcare field way back in the Philippines. He grew up in a family of healthcare professionals. Relyndo finished his medicine at FEU-NRMF, Institute of Medicine in 1992. He pursued his residency training in surgery at Mary Johnston Hospital, Manila and later was employed by the Dept of Health Republic of the Philippines as Junior Consultant in Surgery NCR-1 ( National Capital Region -1). As a back up course before going to the US, Relyndo enrolled in ST Jude School of Nursing in their fast track program and finished his BSN in 1996.
In the United States, Relyndo was not fortunate to become a physician, so he continued his career as an RN and worked on various acute hospitals, home healths, hospices and skilled nursing facilities. He further advanced his career and enrolled at Holy Names University, Oakland CA and finished his degree in MSN-FNP. He became a Family Nurse Practitioner on 2011.
As a FNP, Relyndo kept his skills in surgery and became part of his specialty and performed various wound care procedures under supervision of his supervising physician e.g. diabetic wound cares, wound debridement, cyst removals, other minor surgeries, biopsies, wound vacs, hyperbaric wound care, pressure ulcers.
Later on Relyndo’s eagerness to acquire more knowledge in his field, he enrolled in Walden University, Minneapolis Minnesota Doctorate in Nursing Practice program. He became a full pledge DNP on 2015. As a DNP, he accepted Directorships in home health companies, hospices, and other administrative roles in various medical groups. However he still continue his passion on wound care and applied his skills in these institutions he is currently working.
RELYNDO enjoys spending his spare time with his family. He joins community works, medical missions and other charitable endeavors for our less fortunate brothers/sisters. Sharing his talent and doing what he loves most in his work is a privilege that he is giving back to his community and family.
