Dr. Tung was born and raised in Chino Hills, California. He was accepted into an accelerated medical school program, circumventing college, where he was able to complete his basic sciences abroad in Europe and finishing his clinical sciences in New York with a Weill-Cornell affiliated hospital. Afterward, he did his residency training in General Surgery at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in Brooklyn, NY. After residency, Dr. Tung went into independent practice in the field of surgical wound management.

Dr. Tung joined the Professional Wound Specialists team with the goal of training clinicians, educating patients and staff, and helping expand the organization to reach its maximum potential. With one goal above all else, providing superior medical care to those in need, Dr. Tung is a dedicated, driven, and compassionate clinician who applies his “out-of-the-box” thought process and skill set to provide the best care and outcomes for his patients. Excellent medical care that improves quality of life has been the foundation and purpose as a clinician, which keeps Dr. Tung pushing himself to provide the highest quality of care to his patients.

Loving all things life, Dr. Tung enjoys all of the exciting experiences that life has to offer. He enjoys spending time with those around him. He strives everyday to heal his patients so that they may also get back to enjoying the things that they love to do as well.
