Jerry Hou was born in Taiwan and later moved to the United States to pursue higher education and a career in healthcare. He earned his BS in Microbial Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, his BSN from Concordia University Irvine, and his MSN as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Chamberlain University. In 2026, he completed his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) at American University of Health Sciences.
With extensive experience in nursing, primary care, and advanced wound management, Jerry specializes in complex and chronic wound care, bedside surgical procedures, wound debridement, pressure injuries, diabetic ulcers, and vascular ulcers.
As a wound care specialist with Professional Wound Specialists, Jerry provides specialized wound care services across multiple healthcare settings, including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, nursing homes, assisted living communities, and patients’ residences. His clinical practice focuses on comprehensive wound assessment, advanced wound treatment, and individualized care plans for patients with complex and chronic wounds.

We provide wound care treatments in hospitals, surgical centers, rehabilitation facilities, long term acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and home health services. We provide wound care doctors at home, which allows convenience for homebound patients who need high quality service. PWS serves in the greater area of California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.
