Ailyn Gomez
NP Ailyn Gomez grew up in Syracuse, New York. She started her nursing training at Lemoyne College and St. Joseph’s College of Nursing, the only magnet teaching hospital in Central New York.
NP Gomez then moved to Las Vegas in 2008 with her husband and their 2 sons. In Nevada she finished her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her minor in Business Administration from Nevada State College.
During her nursing schooling, NP Gomez worked as a certified nursing assistant in the acute hospital setting, as well as in skilled nursing facilities, long term care, memory care, and rehabilitation. She also worked as a pediatric office medical assistant.
NP Gomez then found a passion for wound care working as a nurse supervisor in acute rehabilitation. She became wound care certified and led the wound care program. NP Gomez finished her Master of Science in Nursing at Touro University with the goal of working as a wound care specialist and family nurse practitioner.
Her nursing experience also includes psychiatric nursing, working in leadership as a nurse supervisor, as well as infection control, employee health, case management, and employee education. She has served on patient safety committees working with quality and risk management for fall prevention, antibiotic stewardship, and patient advocacy.
