Melanie Teela
Melanie Teela is currently the Chief Operating Officer for Universal Medical Management and has over 25 years of healthcare experience. In her previous roles she has served as a Nurse with progressive leadership responsibilities working her way up from staff nurse to Charge Nurse, Manager, Quality Consultant, Clinical Educator, Director of Nursing, and Administrator.
Melanie has experience in many specialty settings including ICU, Acute/Neuro Rehab, Home Health & Hospice, Wound Clinic, SNF, Emergency & Disaster Preparedness, Education, and Quality Improvement. In 2022 she joined UMM where she was offered a position providing her the opportunity to combine her professional passions of the tangibility of wound care, process improvement, and education.
Melanie has been married for 17 years and has 3 wonderful children, Isabella, Noah and Parker. When she is not working, Melanie enjoys spending time with her family camping and fishing. She also enjoys crafting, and often participates in local craft fairs and farmers markets. She has recently started raising chickens, growing her own garden, and hopes to get goats in the near future.

Professional Wound Specialists (PWS) provides high quality evidence based medical care to our patients. We provide wound care treatments in hospitals, surgical centers, rehabilitation facilities, long term acute care, skilled nursing facilities, and home health services. We provide wound care doctors at home, which allows convenience for homebound patients who need high quality service. PWS serves in the greater area of California, Colorado, Idaho, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah, and Wyoming.
